Is your toddler/preschooler working on 1 to 1 correspondence? These counting mats will help make counting fun! Your little one can count each shape as they match it, then put the corresponding number in the square. For example, they can count "one...two" as they stick on each sun, then find the number two square and stick it on the 2. Want to kick it up a notch? Set up an obstacle course with the pieces on one end and the mats on the other. work on fine motor, gross motor, number sense, speech, praxis, and so much more all at the same time!
Suggested steps for assembling counting mats:
1. Download product
2. Print all pages
3. Cut out the counting mats along the outer black rectangles
4. Cut out all shapes and numbered squares
5. Laminate all pieces
6. Re-cut all pieces (You could also laminate prior to cutting and then only cut once)
7. Apply velcro dots to shapes and numbered squares
8. Punch holes in the upper corners
9. Assemble everything with binder rings
10. Have fun!
